Our Story

We’re Engineering the Future of Medical Imaging One Breakthrough at a Time.

Founded on the belief that better imaging leads to better outcomes, Perfusio has evolved from a hardware-based imaging company into a leading provider of AI-driven software solutions for perfusion visualization. Our patented MSPV technology is helping clinicians make faster, more informed decisions.

Who We Serve

Perfusio is actively seeking research institutions, device manufacturers, and military collaborators to advance LSCI-based burn triage.

Clinicians: Help us validate across diverse wound types and populations.

OEMs: Integrate our platform into your own diagnostic or surgical tools.

DoD & Emergency Planners: Collaborate on ruggedization and field deployment strategies.

  • Burn surgeons and burn unit staff need rapid, quantitative insights. Perfusio supports critical decisions like surgical timing and debridement planning without relying on subjective visual cues.

  • In chaotic trauma bays or ER settings, Perfusio delivers instant, contact-free imaging. No gels. No prep. Just fast insight for faster action.

  • Children can't always stay still or tolerate traditional diagnostic methods. Perfusio enables gentle, accurate burn assessment in seconds. Ideal for young or anxious patients.

  • Perfusio equips medics with battlefield-grade diagnostics. It’s miniaturized, rugged, and designed for use without specialty training or ideal lighting.

  • Perfusio reduces diagnostic variability and speeds up the right interventions. It’s a smart investment in quality care and resource optimization.

Dual-Use by Design

Perfusio Bridges Military and Civilian Medicine

Our platform is built for:

  • Prolonged field care and battlefield triage.

  • High-volume trauma centers and regional burn units.

  • Telemedicine programs and rural ERs lacking specialty coverage.

Backed by FDA-cleared CERTES™ technology, we’ve miniaturized and adapted our platform to meet the needs of both front-line medics and world-class clinicians.

Our Leadership

We’re bringing breakthrough medical imaging to market, powered by a leadership team that blends business acumen with scientific vision.

The technology behind Perfusio was originally developed at East Carolina University by a cross-disciplinary team of surgeons, physicists, and engineers. Today, we continue to collaborate with ECU to expand the platform across a wide range of clinical applications.

Our most recent patent, titled Multi-Spectral Laser Imaging (MSLI) Methods and Systems for Blood Flow and Perfusion Imaging and Quantification, represents the foundation of our global intellectual property protection strategy. It reinforces the core capabilities of the Perfusio platform and secures our position as a leader in real-time tissue imaging.

This is more than invention. It is validation, supported by peer-reviewed research, federal grants, and a commitment to improve patient care through precision imaging.
