Blunt abdominal trauma following a motor vehicle accident. After an initial small bowel resection and a viable-appearing anastomosis at 24 hours, Certes imaging revealed a lack of perfusion in the proximal ileal segment—undetectable under visible light—prompting critical surgical revision and prevention of postoperative complications.
